Art of Homemaking Fabric Giveaway

There comes a time in life when a creative person must part with some fabric. For me, the time has come. The sewing machine has gathered its fair amount of dust and the horizon is looking fairly grim for threading needles, pinning patterns to fabric, ironing, measuring, cutting and sewing as I head into the third issue...the fall issue...of CAKE&WHISKEY magazine.
So instead of letting all of this gorgeous fabric sit unused, I'd love to pass it along to one of you~ to put it to really great use. Create stunning quilts, aprons, baby pants, bibs, curtains and softies, will ya? There are days I yearn to stand in a fabric store and have a near anxiety attack about choosing the most compatible fabrics for a friends baby quilt.
I imagine I'll be back at my sewing machine someday down the road. I've held back a stash of my most prized fabric for that very day. Until then, I relish in the experience of being able to purchase from others, like you, creating some amazing things.

Giveaway Details:

  • You're getting the ENTIRE stash pictured here. Loads and loads...too much to measure and tell you the yardage. There's all sorts of pieces~ large and small.
  • Enter once by leaving a comment.
  • Entries will close at midnight August 10th
And you might as well take a peak at CAKE&WHISKEY's summer issue while we're talking about inspiring, creative things ~

  3. I'd love to win a stash... I too am starting to learn this lost art so I can maybe sew my daughter's first communion dress and hopefully pass on to her. I figure I should start out on small projects first, though, and maybe make some small purses, scarves and easier stuff for gifts.

  21. i would love to win this beautiful fabric. i have quilted for over forty years and made and donated over 200 quilts. all my quilts are hand pieced and hand quilted. i wish i had bought a sewing machine when i was working and did a fabric stash, but i didnt. darn it. i love paying it forward by donating quilts to charities, like cancer awareness, for church raffles and humane society. i have no fabric left and need some in a bad way. quilting is my addiction and i am in need of a fix. lol babscorbitt@gmail.com

Beautiful fabric! I am embarking on my first quilt with my husband's grandmother and have picked through her stash but our tastes don't really mesh. I would love to win this stash and make a quilt with lovely fabric. Thank you for the opportunity!

  33. I appreciate you having a giveaway. if i were to win, I would use the fabric to make quilts for my family. I have many cousins under the age of 6 who I would love to make quilts for, as well as my mother and grandmother. I have loads of work to do, considering I have about 20 cousins, but I love giving them sentimental items to keep for the rest of their lives. I'm a young quilter with no where near enough fabric, thanks for your time.
