In the Kitchen with Tarts and Cakes

The Kitchn's Cranberry Tart

After the flurry of activites surrounding the little CEO's second appearance on this show we finally were able to get in the kitchen and bake some holiday treats. There were lots of cookies and cinnamon rolls made and eaten and these two desserts made an appearance on Christmas day.

German Chocolate Cake with Coconut-Pecan Cajeta Frosting

We also are crazy blessed with some really amazing friends and have had the chance to share in a Christmas morning brunch hosted by one amazing family.

I hope you had a Christmas overflowing with gratitude, love and awe.

  1. hi megan,

thanks for the christmas wish! :) i always love going through your blog...it's so genuine, real and creative. your family is adorable and i'm intrigued by the simple life you live. i live more of a suburb life, but i love all things country/vintage/simple. i'm not always very good at incorporating that into my home and living though, but i sure love dreaming about it. hmmm? how do you do it, i wonder? i like checking in on how canaan is doing too. so cute! anyway, i hope all is well....happy new year! :)
